Welcome to the town of Lytton. Population 350. The heart of gold rush country, where the Thompson and Fraser Rivers converge. Trailer parks, pick-up trucks, and the middle of nowhere. This is what twenty-one year old Cole Chambers calls home. Cole has spent his entire life picking up the pieces of his shattered and dysfunctional family. He cares for his big sister Maybelline's 6-year-old biracial son Rocket, protecting him from Maybelline's boyfriend Bobby. He helps manage the family gas station with his sister and also must care for his mother, who suffered a tragic accident he feels responsible for. When he finally sees an opportunity to get out of this small town and make something of himself, he's not sure if he can pay the price.
