After the Russo-Turkish wars of 1878, a group of Armenian nationals who have been persecuted by the conquering Ottomans form a resistance movement, and the Ottomans respond by perpetrating a genocide on their people. In 1915, an Armenian officer in the Turkish military named Gabriel Bagradian gives up his commission to join the resistance, and they bravely fight the Turks at Fort Musa Dagh.
