New York City, 1991. Small-time crooks Tommy and Rosie are trying to go straight. But, fascinated by the mob, Tommy skips work to go to the trial of Gambino-family boss John Gotti. Inspired by some of the testimony, he and Rosie begin a series of brazen, Bonnie-and-Clyde-style stickups of mob hangouts around the city. The FBI takes notice and they become front page news. Their attacks enrage the mob, but crime-family boss Big Al orders his men to just scare the couple. It's a decision he regrets when they stumble upon a major Mafia secret, the smoking gun the Feds could use to end the crime syndicate in New York. So Big Al moves to correct his mistake, and now Tommy and Rosie's future depends on who gets to them first, the mob or the law. Based on a true story.
