Ava DuVernay, Chris Pine, and more on the making of A Wrinkle in Time

A Wrinkle in Time hits theatres this weekend! The long-awaited film adaptation of Madelaine L'Engle's acclaimed and award-winning young adult novel is directed by Ava DuVernay. The family-friendly adventure tells the story of Meg Murry (Storm Reid), who with the encouragement of her little brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) and her classmate Calvin (Levi Miller), sets off on a dangerous journey throughout the galaxy to find and rescue her father, Alex Murry (Chris Pine), who disappeared after discovering a way to travel across space using a concept known as a tesseract. The children are guided in their quest by three mysterious astral travelers known as Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling), and Mrs. Which (the one and only Oprah).

We caught up with the cast and director on at Disney's semi-annual convention D23 to talk about the film and their roles in bringing it to the screen.

We also had a chance to sit down with the precocious Deric McCabe, who plays Charles Wallace.

A Wrinkle in Time is a visually stunning movie with a heartfelt message about bravery and courage that is a must-see on the big screen. Click here for tickets and showtimes!
