Deadpool 2

Early buzz tells us that Deadpool 2 is funnier, raunchier and crazier than the first, which is a lot to live up to. Ryan Reynolds has never been better than as Wade Wilson, the "merc with a mouth" and a heart of gold, and we've been highly anticipating his return. This time he's up against Cable, a villain from the future played by Josh Brolin (who also stars as the villain Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War). Cable's after a child with mutant powers (played by the breakout star from Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Julian Dennison) and Deadpool's assembled a team to protect the kid.

Book Club

Any group of friends can find something to love in Book Club, which stars four legendary actresses: Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen, Jane Fonda and Candice Bergen whose love lives get shaken up after they read Fifty Shades of Grey in their monthly book club. The perfect movie to celebrate female friendship and sexuality, this is a guaranteed hilarious time at the movies and a great excuse to get together with friends.

Isle of Dogs

The quirky humour and elaborate visual style of Wes Anderson's universe makes for a fun film to watch with friends. This stop-motion film takes place in Japan, where dog flu has resulted in the mayor sending all dogs to trash island. It's a dark comedy that stars an A-List cast of voice actors including Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig and Tilda Swinton.

Show Dogs

Both kids and adults can appreciate the humour of Show Dogs, which stars Will Arnett alongside a police dog voiced by Ludacris as they work together to prevent a disaster from happening at a dog show. The film also stars Natasha Lyonne, Alan Cumming, Stanley Tucci and Ru Paul.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Returning to Cineplex theatres as part of our Family Favourites programming, you can watch last year's hit action/comedy, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. This modern spin on the Robin Williams classic stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart as kids who get sucked into a video game and who become their on-screen avatars. It's even more hilarious than it sounds, with plenty of action, humour, and heart, and it's an absolute must-see at $2.99 per ticket in Family Favourites!

A Quiet Place

The perfect film to see with the one you love, A Quiet Place is frightening, smart, and also features Hollywood's most beloved real-life couple, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. In this buzzed-about movie, a family of four with a baby on the way must survive in a post-apocalyptic world where giant monsters attack anything that makes a sound. The film is nearly silent because of this and it's an incredibly effective way to get you on the edge of your seat for the entire film.

I Feel Pretty

This Amy Schumer comedy is both hilarious and uplifting, leaving audiences with a new sense of confidence, and it also makes for a great date night film. Here she plays Renee, a woman with low self-esteem until a head injury has her seeing herself in a new light, and she suddenly thinks she's the most beautiful person ever. The central romance with her and stand-up comedian Rory Scovel also exudes great chemistry and tons of funny moments.
