A model-actress is born in Switzerland and raised in Italy before finding success in the American TV industry. Proof once again that if you've got the talent, Hollywood makes no national or political distinctions. Sofia Milos was very smart when she came to the United States, studying at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under prestigious acting coach Milton Katselas. She made her screen debut on "Over the Line" and followed with an appearance on the hit NBC sitcom "Friends" in 1994. Later came her first recurring role on another Peacock network sitcom, "Caroline in the City," an assignment which spanned a very healthy 20 episodes. In 2003, Milos went one better, securing the part of Detective Yelina Salason on the sun-soaked spinoff "C.S.I.: Miami." Her run of 60 episodes unfolded from 2003 to 2009 and continues, ad infinitum, in syndication.
